It’s not an easy road to become a published fiction writer, but the Ann Arbor educational non-profi t organization 826 Michigan aims to help talented writers take the step. The Fall Fiction Writers Conference will feature accomplished authors from across the nation who will hold short story writing, novel writing and intersection of autobiography workshops at the three-day conference that runs Sept. 24-26. Lectures and seminars on novel writing, getting work published and the craft of fiction will also take place. Prices range from $40 for a single session to $350 for the complete three-day weekend of activities. Funds raised will benefit the organizations free tutoring and writing programs for children ages 6-18. Instructions for registration can be found at www.826michigan.org.
